Mirror III



In which the boy breaks one of the cardinal rules of videoblogging, as articulated by Josh Leo in a rant from last April.

The child development books we have don't have much to say about a toddler's interaction with a flip-out LCD viewfinder.

haha....even though he broke the "rule" it turned out better than if he would have followed it...I love that he is so silent in all these videos, I'm not sure why.

I'm glad that at least some of these videos are working for people who aren't related.

It's a common (nearly unavoidable) impulse to coax behaviors out of your kid so that others can see how cute he is. I've got hours of footage of me attempting to do just that.

What's trickier in the moment is to remember to let the camera roll without expectation.

These captured moments are more often the ones I find myself posting.
